Digital Scrapbooking Christmas Songs | "This Christmas"
The Christmas season is officially on here in the states. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and here we are. Christmas all around! I have been wanting to do this series for years. I started it back in 2017, and got one whole post written. Then life (Christmas) happened! And that was all I got. This year, I am going to finish it though.
Digital Scrapbooking Christmas Songs
One of my favorite things about Christmas is the music!! I am one of those annoying people that bust the Christmas tunes out November 1st. I don't decorate or do much shopping until after Thanksgiving. Those songs though...love! I have been known to pull up the Christmas playlist in the middle of summer just to lift my spirits. With that in mind, I thought we would take some of the most popular Christmas songs out there, and showcase their corresponding digital scrapbooking kit!
I used THIS list from Billboard. There are 100 on this list. I would love to do all 100, but I cannot. For one, I don't have the time. December is a busy real-life time of the year, as well as scrapping. For two, not all of these songs have corresponding kits. A great opportunity for any designers reading this! I took the top 10 and will be showing you a corresponding digital scrapbooking supplies to go along with those songs! There will be some direct matches, and some thematic. I thought it would be a lot of fun! So let's get started.
Starting with #10 you have...
Donny Hathaway, "This Christmas" (1970)
You know the moment you start to hear the start of the song that it is "This Christmas". This song to me is about being with the people you love and doing all things Christmasy. And as someone who loves Christmas like I do, this song is perfect! I also really like the on point 1970's feel of the song. It has a groovy cadence about it.
Everything is linked to their counterparts in the store. I will say like I usually do...I am not set out to have these series filled with designs from the creative teams I am on. However, as they are all awesome, they are bound to pop up from time to time. If you want to know what teams I am on, check the "My Creative Teams" tab at the top of this site. With that in mind, I will make the usual transparency disclaimer. The creative teams I am on I get their products for free. That is in return for making sample layouts for advertisement purposes. I am not required to post anything about them here at Shawn Bear Scraps. If it makes it here, it is because I super love them! Now on to the fun stuff!!
This Christmas Inspired Digital Scrapbooking Supplies
I found two exact matches for the song, This Christmas! And then I took the line "Fireside is blazing bright We're caroling through the night And this Christmas will be A very special Christmas for me" and used that as my theme for the other items I am going to show you. The two exact matches:
"Fireside is blazing bright We're caroling through the night And this Christmas will be A very special Christmas for me" Here are some great digital scrapbooking supplies that I feel embody this line. From the fireside blazing bright, caroling through the night and special Christmases.
Whether it's the joyful melodies of a holiday concert, the beautiful voices of a choir or the exuberant fun of singing carols, the sweet sounds of Christmas are powerful and awe-inspiring. Happy Scrapping & Merry Christmas!
La'Shawn is a 39 year old wife and mother. She works full time outside the house as a customer service rep for a small roll steel plant. She has lived in Georgia (in the states) her entire life. You can currently find her just a few hours north of Atlanta. Much closer to Chattanooga, TN though. She has been digital scrapbooking since 2008. She was looking for a way to document her son growing up before her eyes. After looking around a bit, she found digital scrapbooking, and never looked back. She has been on many creative teams (solo & stores) in the past 11 years. Her style leans more towards the traditional, and she never met a kit that she couldn't scrap with. She loves patterns, bright colors, and all the elements all the time! Creating clusters on her layouts is what she loves doing the most. Making sure every piece is where it should be. Let La'Shawn scrap for you! Are you looking for a creative team member? La'Shawn is looking for a few more teams to create for and promote. I cannot believe that Christmas is less than a week away, that 2017 is less than two weeks away, and that my (not so) little guy turned 9 years old yesterday! Since his birthday is a week away from Christmas, and p…
