I just felt like blogging today. I don't even really have time to do so. I just had the feeling that I wanted to sit down and blog. I didn't want to delve into my November & December projects just yet. I feel like once I start that, I will be nose to the grind until I finish. So I thought since it is Thursday, that a cute #TBT would be something to do.
With that in mind, I dove back into my layouts. This one comes from November of 2014. The kiddo would have been 6 going on 7. The journal reads:
I love all of Isaiah's little quirks. One of the most recent quirks is his crazy fear of being in the house by himself. It might be because he is an only child. I really don't know. But, he follos us around from room to room. When he happens to be in a another room by himself, he has to keep vocal tabs on us. And I know when he is about to do it. So I say it with him. "Just checking!"
So here we are nearly 5 years in the future from when this layout was created. And...well...he is still mostly the same. He is edging up to teenage years. I do notice him spending more time alone. But even at almost 12 years old he will bust out of the office or his bedroom because we thought we left without telling him. hahaha. Because we do that so often! (Never. We've never done that). And every once in a while. We will still get a "just checking" from him. That is usually accompanied by a difficult emotional or anxiety time for him.
I love that I scrapped this memory. I have a pretty good memory, and this one is a prominent one anyway. But, I am a firm believer that even the little moments like this should be scrapped. Memories can be fleeting, and they are not promised to us. I want to get everything down that I can!
The digital scrapbooking supplies I used for this layout is Under My bed by Digilious Designs. That collection has been retired. But she does have another cute monster kit in her store. It is a bit similiar. So, I thought I would showcase that one instead.

And since I have scrapped with this collection as well, I just had to show you that layout too! :-) He is my "Little Monster" after all. Also, just so you know, this kit is part of a bigger collection.
Designed to coordinate with my Halloween Collection Kits (Candyland, Eek-A-Boo, Ready, Set, Glow! & extras), this pack is perfect for all Halloween themed projects!
